Insurance Chats That Hit Different

This one was a bit special.

When Rochelle and Philly headed up to Auckland to sit down with Vic and Soph from The Curve, the plan was simple: talk insurance, keep it real, and make it feel like a conversation you’d have with mates over coffee.

What came out of that kōrero was a powerful episode full of insight, honesty, and the kind of questions most women don’t even realise they should be asking about their cover.

We talked through:

• Why women’s insurance needs are different and often overlooked

• How to choose cover that protects your future

• What a “safe space” for financial advice should actually feel like

The Curve’s community is made up of wāhine who want to get smarter with money, feel more confident with their choices, and find trusted voices in a world that can feel full of noise. That made this partnership such a natural fit.

Both Vic and Soph are now clients of R&P and since that episode, we’ve been lucky enough to kōrero with so many of their listeners, helping them put their own Plan B in place. Even now, two years later, new clients still find us through that episode.

Alongside the podcast, we also collaborated on a series of short, educational videos across social media. Bite-sized bits of advice to help untangle the insurance stuff without the jargon. The aim was to meet people where they’re at — no pressure, no confusion, just honest kōrero.

This collab reminded us that when you strip away the industry speak and speak directly to women, real change happens.
