R&P x KAN: Talking Business, Our Way

Not every podcast we’ve done has been client-facing, some are about pulling back the curtain on the industry itself.

Our kōrero with Warwick from KAN (Kiwi Adviser Network) was one of those behind-the-scenes moments.

KAN is a business we work with closely, they handle our external auditing, compliance, and client system (CRM). They’ve seen the inner workings of R&P since day one, so it made sense to sit down and share a bit of how we do things differently.

We talked through:

  • How we’ve built a wāhine-led advice business that puts people before policies

  • Why marketing with heart (and humour) matters more than old-school sales tactics

  • What it looks like to “go against the grain” in a traditionally stiff, male-dominated space

  • A Candid Chat About the Way We Work

We aimed to demonstrate how a values-led, culturally aware, and client-first approach can thrive in the financial world. We spoke about the decisions we’ve made (some bold, some messy) to keep our business human, transparent, and sustainable.

We know a lot of our peers are watching, wondering if there’s room to do things differently. This episode is proof that there is.
